If you look closely, the Spitfire must've hit the 109 from the right side. But the flame and the smoke is coming from the left side of the engine. Otherwise, it is an excellent screenshot.

Thank you very much. Must say that the flames come from the exhausts as the engine compartment caugh fire at a whole due to burning glycol.
