That as a drawing is very attractive, the blue is quality, but it looks like the lighting is from two directions and the interns on the (top down) do kinda look like they are made from chocolate. Is it a WIP or finished project? Its almost there teetering on the edge as it were. I know I couldn't do a car any better

You should finish it, I think there is more money in the car market then there will ever be in aircraft profiles. And this is exactly the sort of thing they are looking for.

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought so. Do you have any specific examples? I've only done the Corvette as far as cars are concerned, and that wasn't so good IMO.

I especially like the way you handled reflections on the rearview mirror and rear lights. It's quite impressive, Ugo.

Jester....you can't be more right. One problem above all: copyright

It's a paradox but is easier to make and sell a Starfighter profile of any Air Force than an Alfa Romeo profile. Could you imagine a nice view profile of a red Alfa, maybe with logo?...mmmhh.....not to talk of Ferrari!

Of course I never will make a profile of a Boeing 747 in Boeing colors with large logo of their company and sell. It's stupid and will be looking for troubles.

Honestly there is a way to catch attenion from a part of car collectors: all related to law enforcement! there is a large market of miniature police car, ambulance, fire brigade trucks...sweet child memories ...in this way is possible to make a print where the subject is the (for example) a profile of Opel Astra in POLIZEI markings. Obviously without adding any logo of OPEL as well.

Anyway, this may be of some help: I talked recently wit the owner of a very small factory of high quality truck models in 1/43. He makes mainly vintage models, those that in '50 had company brand names painted in the sides. So, FIAT, MAGNETI MARELLI, BARILLA, SHELL, etcc.... My first impression was "What the hell!" how he can only think to sell truck with such decals and logos?. He told me that before starting this project he went to FIAT and they told him that if he produce and sell a limited quantity of these items with their brand logo they won't care as it will not create competition with their marketing and gadget products. (In a way it's a free ADV for them as well)

So, resuming, and apologizing for long replay, MAYBE a limited edition of car profiles could "work". The bad point is that not all company answer and sometimes there are crazy royalties to pay...

BTW, if someone would join me in Police car project I have plenty of collectors and resellers waiting for them. One above all, my Japan retailer: http://www.pantera.jp/

"pantera" is italian police car nickname.

Ugo

Ah you see, I wasn't thinking "sell the prints yourself", more like sell the image to the car manufactures to use themselves.
Would the guy selling the toy trucks like a nice image of it on the side of the packaging?

Being even own the rights to the outline shape of their aircraft too, so I wouldn't even think about drawing one to sell.

Re: PEUGEOT 307CC....

Look perhaps instead at the earliest automobiles. There's not a lot they can do if you profile something from 50 years ago. These are quite popular as well though they don't appeal to me. Photos taken of the vehicles at that time are now common property. This has me a bit mystified though. Isn't the creation of a profile free advertising? You would think they would wecome it!
