altarboy, thanks for your insights. If I ever do something more aircraft-like than a cube I will show it here

Great work there Faust / Altarboy, I've always had a soft spot for fokkers.
Can't wait to skin them when the "sim" is available.

Erm, that isn't a 3D model but a scale model.

Is that Ernst Udet's plane? I think he had red stripes on his.

Great camo pattern Blowhard, is that a decal or a computer print that is applied or somesuch? (And don't tell me you masked that off and painted it! )

Re: Albatros D.Va and Fokker D.VII 3D Models

Nope, no red stripes on this one, it's well documented. But it is Udet's. There is only one plane that he flew that is known to have red and white stripes, his first Fokker D.VII. This one has the standard Jasta 37 black and white tail markings. He also flew a silver D.V.

And, yes, decals I did hand cut masks once and paint 4 color camo on a D.VII. It was a long time ago, I think 1986. I'll never do that again :P
This model has Americal decals. I did this one in 1994. It got 2nd place at the IPMS national convention. I think it was before I had a computer even
