Maybe this can help you out with the shape of the DH.91 it's original film footage from the 30s. You get a good idea of the true shape of the aircraft.
Unfortunately the Princess boats and the MIGHTY Brabazon were already in the scrap heap almost as soon as they were completed. Very sad. They were wonderful dreams but they were 10 years or more too late
yup unfortunately, the days of the golden era of aviation were over.
The days with loads of crashes, slow aircraft which made intercontinental travel a matter of weeks in stead of hours and very uncomfortable for passengers yeeeeeeeeeeees golden days!

Supah my friend, It was the golden age not because of what you said above, (Most of which is true if not all) but because this was the time that aviation was truly born. The quest for more speed and flying over longer distances, I think that the design of some of these aircraft just 25 to 30 years after man's first flight at Kittyhawk, are works of art. this was the moment that modern aviation was born.
They don't make them like that anymore
