Photoshop Filters Help - please?

Hi - I decided I would make an attempt at a profile, and checked out some of the great tutorials. I downloaded the Remove White filter, but have had trouble getting it to work.
I've downloaded it and stuck it in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins" and also "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\Filters" just in case - but - it doesnt show up at all on photoshop - although when I start it up, it gives me an error, containing the files name - and that only happened since I placed a copy into "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins".

I go to filters, and get this - but nothing relating to remove white or the file name itself


Can somebody point me to what I'm doing wrong, and what I should do to sort it out / and where to look when its done.

I'm not familiar with CS2, but the PS Elements I've got mine installed to the /filters sudirectory. There is a common issue with this filter which is explained at the link below, but I'm not certain it's the issue you are experiencing.

I had the same issue.

Check out this link and it will give you instructions on how to correct it. You will need to download MSVCRT10.DLL file and place into the photoshop main folder..
