Ok, I didn't find what I was looking for, but I'll go at it anyway.
Firstly, is the artwork you wish to paste on a single layer? If so, then you can save this area separately, and then paste it in as you wish.
- First, simply make a marquee selection around your artwork.
- Next, use the 'copy' command to copy that selection to clipboard.
From here, there are two possible ways to paste it out.
- First, look in the 'File' menu for a 'Paste as new' command. This should creata a new file with your pasted area already inside.
If it does not, or you cannot find that menu item, you can do this manually.
- Just create a new empty PSP file that is large enough to hold the artwork (say 300x300 pixels, something like that). Now paste your artwork into that new file.
Either way, save your new file. Now it's separate, and you can open it later for pasting into any other project.
Of course... if you
don't need to have this artwork in a separate file, you can simply dupicate the layer that contains the artwork, and then manipulate it as you wish.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: Wow... my 1,000th post!
