here is the finished product, well almost finished . . .
I just finished the bottom off with procedural textures and called it a day.
The reason for that is the mesh was becoming too heavy, if this was all that was going into the scene I wouldn't bother but perhaps when I build the final scene I will go back in and replace the procedurals for uv's

it turns out nicely in the rendering, well done

I don't know how close you will see it in the end,
but I'd suggest adding some more grime and dirt in the edges.
Additional I'd like to note that you've huge areas of chipped paint
in the middle section, but on the base there's no chipping at all
(also on the top).

But it's going in the right direction (imho)
