I am working on a prewar RAF Gladiator with the silver dope finish. I am wondering if the interior airframe pieces such as inside of the flaps were a different colour or finished silver as well. I have had no success Googling for the information, perhaps someone here knows? Thankyou in advance.
I forgot to update my findings here lol. I have discovered and been told that a grey or silver colour is probably correct. I wonder if the Sea Gladiators might have had an anti-corrosion paint on the inside surfaces though. Thanks for response tho.
Say that looks good! I just came off of one of those a few months ago for Target Tobruk-
I did this skin for fun, I'm pretty sure they weren't around Malta like this during the war

Where did you find the info Turnip? I've been planning to puck up the Mushroom Modeling and Warpaint book but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Looks good m8. Is that for IL2 as well? I got my info from Taylortony in the UBI forums. I don't know if he is a member here or not and I think he works around old airplanes. Here are some links that he gave me.
This is a Gladiator being restored, shows grey interior. (BIG PICS)
This is an outfit that restores aircraft and shows the process of applying the fabric covering. I had no idea that it was red first, then silver and then final finish.
