No VC but has an absolutely stunning 2D panel which is very accurate, and also has very realistic gauges. Also has an IFR panel and views from the nose, tail and waist gun positions.
Its a 55mb download but it looks good, fly's real nice, has good sound and a panel to die for......and its free!!
Made a nice flight in this plane last night. I used the IFR panel (il2 guys will need to look up IFR ) for the whole flight which is weird because the whole screen is full of panel, no outside view at all!
To test my instrument flying, I started off at Coventry airport and climbed to 2000ft. I levelled out and tuned the VOR to Daventry on 116.4. I intercepted the 065 radial which would put me on a track for my home airfield of Conington. I estimated the distance to run and how long it would take at a fixed speed and started the stop watch.
It was quite a handfull to fly. If you treat it like most Sim planes and just fly at full throttle you will exceed the safe RPM range. So you have to set the correct prop pitch to bring the RPM into the green and trim the plane out to fly level. Once set, any throttle movement will upset the balance of the plane. Now its just a case of scanning the instruments and making small changes to maintain heading, speed, altitude and trim.
Well, it all payed off as I arrived overhead Conington about a minute and a half late most likely due to wandering off course when fiddling with the prop pitch, good flight over all though
Hey great flight. Hearing about the safe RPM ranges made me think about my PMDG Beech 1900C, where I set cruise power based on fuel flow economy. Fun to have those things modeled.
Indeed, one of the most detailed FS aircraft I've ever seen. Secretly, I think it is a hacked version of the payware MAAM B-25. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
I'm 99% sure its not a hacked one. It seems to be a plane to highlight the work of the panel maker. The docs and manual are very professionally presented and the panel has security features built into it to stop it being used else where.
