Shy Yet another question

I would like to submit a tutorial for Gimp. I see in the How to submit a tutorial tutorial, it says compression 5 to 6 times compression of jpeg images is best. How do I compress images? When I save images, there is a quality slider from 0 to 100. Is this the compression level? Thanks.

Re: Yet another question

Yes, that is the compression level. So, somewhere around 50 to 60 percent will be a good balance between size and quality. And the quality is to be judged by you (make sure no important details get lost)

Hiya Snake,

Try here http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorch...rcharts_us.htm for the Vietnam-era stuff. You can download the swatches by right-clicking, the only hard thing is remembering which is which, so I rename them right after I save.
