Tutorials

I did a tutorial a few days ago on removing white with Gimp. I was wondering if it was clear enough to anyone that didn't know how to do that before.
Also I would like to do some more but I'm not sure on what exactly. I'm not an expert by any means, but if somebody would like one done on something specific, I would be glad to put one together.

Re: Tutorials

I checked your tutorial, and I think it's well written, formatted, and illustrated. Thanks for creating that.

Re: Tutorials

Sorry, for not getting back on it earlier

It looks very good.
I think it's good to have basics to start with. So, using brushes, selections and layers in Gimp, like in the featured tutorials for Photoshop.
From there you can go on doing the weathering etc, showing what tricks work best in Gimp.

Major problem people now have is they see how they can do weathering, but don't know how to do it in Gimp or PSP, since the tools work a bit different or the tools used in the Photoshop tutorials are not available in Gimp or PSP

Re: Tutorials

Thankyou fellows.

I think I'll start on some basic tutorials, like the first one, and give a weathering one a shot too.

Re: Tutorials

Thanks,

These tutorials ARE valuable and useful to me!

Could you do a tutorial on how to use the national insignas of the decal samples on this website and how to use them in GIMP and how to use the color swatches on this website as well? They seem to have a grey background.

Thanks,

Pitts2a

Re: Tutorials

Ok ordway, I finished a tutorial for using the marking decals, it should be up soon.

As for the colour swatches, I'm a little unsure of what information you need?
