rotating stars

I need to rotate the marking of a U.S. star by 5 degrees to the left so the points line up with the wing, so flipping it won't work.

Paintshop proX.

I've tried selection tool/circle and free rotate 5 degrees but instead of just the star rotating, the entire template rotates. any ideas?

Make sure the star is on a seperate layer and uncheck the All layers box.
