PSP Version Opinions?

Hello Everyone,

Haven't posted in a while but I have a request for opinions from all you PSP artists/users (I'm a user!) I've had PSP7 for a few years and am relatively comfortable with it. I have an opportunity to upgrade to PSP8.1 or PSP9.01.1., licensed of course, and the price is right

I mainly use it for aircraft skinning and the usual weekend novice stuff.

First question is would it be worth the time to upgrade to one of these 2 versions and learn them vs staying with 7?

If the answer is yes to my first, then which of the two offers the most benefit?

Thanks in advance for your comments and opinions.

Steve

Re: PSP Version Opinions?

I just moved from V7 to V9 and simply love it.
While I had used 7 for several years I just couldn't pass up the extra options that 9 gives you.
Definately worth the upgrade.

I think I'm using 11 or XI whatever they call it. Be warned though that all the X versions have mondo-spyware installed that you can't get rid of legitimately ...

[EDIT... Not here - adlabs6]

I've used PSP from about version 5 IIRC and I think the latest version better, feature-wise ... get demo's and try them out each version is a little different and you'll spend time finding all your tools again, but IIRC you can copy across plug-ins, brushes etc

Kevin and Kamikuza ~

Thank you both for sharing your opinions. Like I said in my original post I had been using PSP 7.x for a few years. I took a look at v8.x demo and liked the additional features/functions.

I have now made the jump to PSP9.01.1 and love it.
