Question A very basic question about DTXbmp

I am trying to add black serials with white outline to RFC/RAF a/c. Thanks to Serval I am 90% there, but I just can't make the final stage work. I am using DXTbmp, and set the editor to Adobe Photoshop. I open the bmp in DXTbmp and send it to PSP. I make my additions with no problem and save it, using the default "norm", but then when I try to upload it back into DXTbmp my changes don't show. I am sure it is a very basic, silly mistake on my part, but I have no idea what is wrong, as doing exactly the same but using MSPaint as the edit program works perfectly, but I can't get the effect I want using Paint. Any ideas, please?

Re: A very basic question about DTXbmp

I'll look into this.

When you say you export to PSP... you mean Paint Shop Pro? If you have set DXTbmp to use Adobe Photoshop, PSP shouldn't be involved.

Re: A very basic question about DTXbmp

Sorry - I confused myself too. The progam I am using is Adobe Photoshop 7, and that is set as the editing program in my DXTbmp.

Re: A very basic question about DTXbmp

I posted over at Classic British Files and got help from there. I used DXTbmp, which was the only way I could open the file, and Photoshop, but then instead of trying to save norm and send it back through DXTbmp I saved it as a 32 bmp, and it worked, so I have done what I wanted to.

Thanks again.

Hi, I'm glad you found and shared your solution.

Sorry I didn't get back to you in time, the holidays are keeping me a bit busy.

All the best!

Thank you. Here's a pic of the result - my only contribution is the serial!
