Question A nut to crack

There is one that has been bothering me for a long time now.
And that is that I still don?t know how to merge layers within a template. I?m not thinking about merging the template itself. But when I add roundels, each roundel is one layer. I like to merge after placing the roundels on into one roundel layer.

How do I do that?

Re: A nut to crack

ctrl+E - Merge down - directly merge a layer to another below it. But if you linked a layer to another, pressing ctrl+E will merge the linked layers instead even if they separated apart.

Just dont press it while flying in FB

Re: A nut to crack

An easy way to do this is to look at your layer pallet.
to the right is an eye or some other Icon which, when ticked hides that particular layer.
Turn off all layers except the ones you wish to merge.
Highlight one of the layers which are still open. Now check to see if there are any other layers still left open which you do not want to merge.
Once your secondary check is complete, place your cursor over one of your open layers and right click.
Options will appear, one of them being merge all visable layers.
Click that and it will merge all open layers into one.
Now, right click and scroll down to rename layer, give your new layer a name and save, done!
Its fast and simple, no mus no fuss.
Hope this helps.
