How to install filters?

Hi all

I'd like to know how to install filters into ADOBE PHOTOSHOP... in specific the MAC WHITE REMOVE WHITE filter shown in the "from void to template" tutorial.

How do I install the filter? I've tried to paste the filter in the "FILTER" directory but no success... any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Re: How to install filters?

There is a directory called Plugin (sorry cannot look it up exactly since I'm just installing my new PC). Compare the file extensions to double check you are in the right folder.
Drop the filter there, start Photoshop and the new filters should be at the bottom of the Filter menu.

Re: How to install filters?

For my Photoshop Elements 2, the MAC White filter is in the "plugins/filters" directory.

The filter has an .8BF extension, so it should work in a directory containting files of that same extension.

If you can't get it installed post back, we'll help. Oh, and welcome to Simmers Paintshop!
