How to make objects the same color

Is there an easy way in photoshop to turn a camoflaged object that is already shaded and finished into another solid color such as grey

Hmm this sounds like you have everything on the same layer or something? If you dont then you just add a grey layer above your paintscheme layers

not sure if this is what you are looking for,but, it will do what you are asking.
Set your foreground and background colors too the desired End Color on the Tools palette. Next you select the object you want to change, click Image,Adjustments,Gradient Map and "Waalaa" you object is recolored. If you want to maintain your shading on the object you can use the Hue/Saturation adjustment until the object matches the color you desire.

If it's camouflaged 2 or more colors, I'm afraid that no matter how closely your recolor matches, that it probably will still show some ghosting of the demarcations of the camouflage colors.
