Re: Volkswagen Type 2 T1

Split screen? You mean just VWs? There is another famous split screen you know...

(At least in the USA...)

Very nice work Rigamortiz!

Re: Volkswagen Type 2 T1

Thanks, yea, I just mean the VW Type 2 T1's, lol. In Britain, as far as I'm aware, not many other vans with a split windscreen are as well known, and the national club for Type 2 T1's is called the 'Split Screen Van Club', to distinguish itself from the later bay window vans, lol.

In fact, this one is the only one of those I've ever seen in the metal, when I was at Deva Dubs and Rods - and followed it for a bit on the way home:

Nice photo! They're kind of scarce in the US too.
Is that a chopped Rover in black primer in that photo?

Re: Volkswagen Type 2 T1

I don't know what it is, to be honest, looks American:

Heres a link to the rest of my photos from that show (744 of them!), if you're interested:

Re: Volkswagen Type 2 T1

OH! It's a Volvo Amazon! Or at least I'm pretty sure. I thought it was a Rover P5.
Of course it's chopped and all sorts of other stuff. I like the rear pillar lean!
Evidently they are popular cars to customize in Europe, I found half a dozen Amazons done in similar 1940s/1950s "lead sled" style.

Thanks for sharing that picture. I love customs!

Re: Volkswagen Type 2 T1

Ahh, awesome. I'd love to sled my van one day.
