Ah! Mass, bulk, weight .... It's all there! Outstanding GFR, can't wait to see it finished.

I just HAVE to do a Cent one day.

Grubby.

Very nice profile, GiantFlyingRobotsI know that such modern tanks are not so easy to do. Some questions for you in the picture.
Great work, really !!
All the best.
Wlad.
Hello Wlad,

They are all legitimate and well observed questions.

Its not that I haven't seen these issues( I have) it more a case of my erratic work flow.

I tend to flit from one area to another when I'm drawing a profile, I rarely ever finish one component at a time, I prefer to work... review(for a few days/weeks/months/years etc...etc) then make appropriate adjustments and then occasionally finish a job.

I suspect that when(if) I get around to finishing the Leopard, it will look substantially different to how it does in these WIP's

Thanks, Grubby, Its the thing I most like about it too, it just looks heavy, Although I think that may have something to do with the black ground, instead of floating on a white desktop which is how i'd typically draw it.

You should do a Centurion or maybe even a Sentinel, lots and lots of fiddly detail to go bonkers on.

Re: Leopard Tank

Just to prove that I haven't been completely idle, here another up-date, finished most of the details now and got a start on weathering.

I obviously now need to add dirt to the tracks and road wheels then I can do another machine gun, whoopee!!!!

There's some kind of rule about drawing armour dirty...right?

Looking good the mud looks nice just the right colour for wet sloppy mud and yes I would expect any tank to look like this after only 5 mins in the field so a tank without dirt would be like having a plane without wings. Cool!

Re: Leopard Tank

Wow. Somebody made some kick-ass mud splatter.

I love it! Teach us! Teach us! Teach us!

Nit-pick: did they just clean the wheels? These are suspiciously clean.

Wow. I was about to write a very dirty word and get get zapped by the mods, so I'll just write wow. When you play dirty, you sure do it right. It's simply stunning.

Come on, GFR, give us a hint at how you do it. Pretty please with sugar on it.
