That's the trouble with ships, Jester. I've had people wanting warships, but they just changed so many times during their service and there is sooooo much detail! I suspect that the naval rivet-counters are even worse than Mr Smith!! " Ah, yes, a nice rendition of the USS Midway, but I think you'll find that after the refit of May 1943, the forward 2.5 in AAA mounts used the curved magazines, rather than the straight ones you have shown. The straight magazines were kept in reserve, however, and were brought out once during gunnery practice on the 14th May 1944, while stationed off Pearl Harbour, to check their proper functioning. Seeing as you have stated the profile shows the ship as it appeared on 16th May that year, I thought it best to bring the inaccuracy to your attention."
That is so true GF. There will always be someone somewhere who has the reference to bring you down, but you never see it until after you think you have finished the project.
My above post is with respect to H.M.S Agamemnon 1781 such an elegant looking ship.
Here is the first stage. Hull shaping has started. It's all the same techniques, isn't it. It doesn't matter what the subject is, helo, plane, boat, car. I'd love to do a steam loco, but they are rather complex!
I still want to see what BH could do with that dragster.
