Submarines, particularly the non-nukes, are called "boats".

Honestly... :P

Big facepalm moment for me, Goodwood. Being a Navy brat...son of a submariner at that...I knew that and often preach it to those who make the mistake of calling the ships.

Anyways, here is today's update. Decided to work on one particular subject first (USS Torsk), then branch out. Goal is to make it good enough to be printed (A3 size) and sold. Figure maybe do all the museum boats first, print off and donate so many copies for them to sell in their gift shops, provided they would agree that the funds would go to upkeep of the boats.

Re: Crash Dive!!!!

Just a teaser on some of the Nukes that I've put some effort toward....may go back and redo them though. The USS Seawolf, I've actually finished. It was a Christmas present for my dad. He went and got it printed out about 36" long, has it hanging in his office. The Skipjack class too was to be a gift for him, seeing as he served on the USS Sculpin. Never got around to finishing it though.

Re: Crash Dive!!!!

The shading on the towers has me bewildered.....not exactly sure about it. Here are 2 tries at it...something just looks off on them though.
Try 1

Try 2

Any ideas?
