Here's something quite different for me. This thing has no wings at all, not even rotating ones!
It's an Australian-built Bushmaster IMV (Infantry Mobilty Vehicle). It's based on an Irish design that Thales Australia developed for local conditions. They've seen extensive use locally and on overseas deployments to East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan, where they have acquitted themselves well.
They are designed to be land-mine survivable, and several close calls with mines and IEDs are showing that they are.
They are also used by the Dutch with the Poms and Yanks showing some interest two. The Australian Defence Force now has a couple of hundred on strength.
I will be doing a remote weapons station version at some stage time, along with the Dutch IED jobby. There are also Ute and Ambo, and, I think, Command, versions coming on line that would be good.
