Spiders?

This isn't a highly important question, but I was wondering what "spiders" means in the who's online box at the left?

Re: Spiders?

A spider is a search engine bot that's browsing our pages collecting data. It adds what it finds here to its search results pages for when users search with keywords that find us as a relavent match.

This is a recently enabled feature, so added just for the information of who and what search engine is here. They are here searching rather often right now. Interesting.
