First Day..

Hello All...
My very first day on this site (just joined) and very helpful it looks too. Just started to try and unravel the art of AC re-painting and already I've got some really useful information here. Thought I'd share with you a pic I took at the Swartkop SAAF AB Airshow Saturday gone. Looks like a 'souped up' DC 3...May use this as my first ever 'subject' for a re-paint.
Thanks
ZA

I think it's one of those turbo prop deals Amazing, that plane must be 60 years old now, still going strong!

Welcome... ..Not sure about the DC3/C47 upgrade....I would think turbo props would be way to much power for such an old bird. I mean..it wasn't designed with those engines in mind. They could be putting an awful lot of stress on the wing roots...scary!...not sure I'd want to fly in it....but thats my opinion.
