hey jesters, yep the battle of britain hall is very,very dark as is the bomber hall, need to get a small portable tripod to bring on flights with cabin luggage...
shame as there were some amazing planes i really wanted to get close detailed shots of, still its a really good museum.. well worth it...
old warden? any good?
the irish aer corps have a small museum here in baldonnel, must see if i can organise a trip and post up pics if i can..

Old Warden is fantastic if you want to get up nice and close to WWI stuff, with some fine examples like the two Bristol scouts and a nice selection of Sopwith's. There is also some between the wars stuff too and of course the Spit Vb and Hurricane there. My advice would be to do Old Warden and Duxford on the same day. All depends on where you are located, there are plenty of great museums in and around the midlands too.

Just read your post and see that you are in Ireland, so if you do make the trip over, deffo do the two together.

Don't forget its the Victory show this weekend (Cosby). I think the gates open at 9am.

Don't remind me about the Victory Show, poor planning from other half means we'll miss it, saw Sally and the Cat outside as we went past DX though looking as good as ever, also there was a spit stripped down and in bits outside, couldn't get a good look on what it was though.
