I love the F-16, but super Supah has been drawing these since time began, he's the Otter on this project. Looks good to me, but I feel some input coming your way once he's had his sleep.

Ok...you need to work the blending of your wing into the fuselage more. Along with the under-scoop is probably the most noticeable feature of the F-16, and as it stands it all but non existent on your profile.

And yeah, Supah is the man when it comes to all things Vipers as well as fast movers in general.

Re: Viking F16

GFR beat me to the important comments. You might also want to revise the colour of the exhaust nozzle IMO, which looks like bronze here.

Re: Viking F16

Well the things that stand out the most for me are:

- The shape of the nose, it looks too fat (which mine suffers from too but that will be fixed soon) and the bottom looks too round. The bottom of the nose area from aft of the radome to below the cockpit is flat with rounded sides.

- You look to be missing one lightning conductor on the radome, the bottom one.

- The bottom intake lip seems to rounded, its fairly straight IRL.

- Where the fuselage-intake transition ends looks very odd, either the strut between the nose section and the intake isnt large enough or the shadows are wrong but it doesn't look right to me.

- You have missed the ECS outlet, it should be forward of the main gear doors, there are two styles, the open ones and one with a aerodynamic fairing over it.

- The sidewinders front fins look too tall and the rear ones should have straight rear edges.

- Just forward of the ventral fins I am missing the APU intake and exhaust. These standout quite a lot of real machines. It looks like their either missing or have the same colour as the fuselage. They only have the same colour as the fuselage before the engine is started the first time after a paintjob because they get super hot.

- The ventral fins have three distinct panels that are not flush but are at a bit of a angle.

- The exhaust indeed could do with a different colour and perhaps more shading as it looks a bit flat at the moment.

Overall I would suggest either the DACO book about the Falcon or the Viper uncovered or something book by Jake Melampy as a resource. For operational scheme's airliners.net is great and you can always check out airplanespotters websites.

Not sure if I can locate the bit you mean on the photos I have got.

As for the rest, all taken on board, though the 3 panels on the ventral fins are there, just quite subtle as they are on the real thing. I am also not 100% happy with the curve along the bottom under the intake.

The other big problem is that I'm working to tight deadlines.

Re: Viking F16

Better! In the end you have to decide when it is good enough, depending on print size, customer expectations and fee versus hours spent
