Re: Thud !!!

Thanks for the support ! I really appriciate it !

I think the Thud will eventually get there...IŽll try to improve the nose today and will look into the wing/intake too.

IŽll give you a heads up once thereŽs some new stuff to show.

Thanks !

Re: Thud !!!

gentlemen,

please read my posts with a tonge in cheek, especially whilst i am below par.

i would never stop helping anyone, i get more pleasure from doing that than drawing profiles.

supah,
it was not meant how i typed it, sorry if it looks that way, my excuse is (according to Jester) i'm am just a grumpy old sod when i aint well

AP,

PLEASE just correct the outline before going futher, just to keep an old man happy.

Otter,

that is ok for the like of me and you, we have the time to do this and spend years getting it right, these guys don't, so we give them the best help we can, with drawings that we know are good enough then tweeking their work as they go along, now get on with ya ABCD's only kidding.

the main problem at the moment with the thud is major, it looks like it as been scanned on a bent scanner and the nose squashed up, this can be rectified very easilly by tweeking the drawing, pulling the nose and straightning out the rear, i really want AP to get this right because its a fantastic aircraft

Sure John ! Not a problem...IŽll look into it right away. Please understand that i really appriciate all the help you have provided for me in the past (and hopefully will continue to provide for me in the future)...I hope that youŽll find the future progress of the Thud to be more than a waste of time

Thanks

Re: Thud !!!

So, according to Vacajun and Johns specifications I have tried to update the Thud...What do you think ?
The exhaust i far from being finished, but let me know what you think so far.

The outline is made directly form the Japanese drawing, so i hope it looks more authentic in your eyes...IŽm glad that you have pushed me on this project !

Re: Thud !!!

A little more progress. I have decided to rework the rivets, so i have started from the exhaust and will work my way to the nose...

Re: Thud !!!

What do I think? Well, usually AP when you set about doing something it turns out as a class act. I'm not qualified to comment on the accuracy (I'll leave that to our In House Crumudgeon JMS) but your treatment of metal surfaces is truly brilliant. Better move over GFR and make room on the podium. I'm curious though....why is the wing detatched and floating? You need to anchor it to the body.
