Re: Thud !!!

I guess it could be used as a hair remover...it would be quite painful and eventually iŽm sure youŽll get bored with accepting: If you remove this hair youŽll not be able to get it back again. Are you still sure you want to remove it ? Decline or Accept

Re: Thud !!!

AP, I really like your NMF technique, and I'm pulling for you big time on this baby!

But, I have to submit some comments for your consideration. Please take them as they are intended--to help, not criticize.

I continue to pick on the accuracy of your lines. This just doesn't look like a Thud. Whose lines are you using? Are you depicting a "B" or a "D"?

The nose is still too blunt, the shading and upper wing lines near the fuselage give the wrong wing shape, and the rear lower fuselage outline is just plain wrong.

Please, please use an accurate drawing. Your artistic skill is way too good to be flawed by a bad drawing. BTW, that "Smith" drawing that John posted is not a good one-where did he get that vertical tail shape??

Re: Thud !!!

ya not wrong vacajun,

that was from detail and scale, nearly as bad as the SS book drawings,

i still say the japanese drawing is the most accurate i have seen.

aircraft profiles,

if you dont address the shape problems you are wasting yours and ours time, why keep working on the profile infill whilst the basic shape is so wrong

Re: Thud !!!

Vacajun: Thanks for the comments. IŽll look into the shape of the lower fuselage and the nose. I have used the japanese drawing as reference. The resolution wasnŽt that good so it was a bit hard to see if i got the shape right.
This is surpose to be a D-model.

Smith: Thanks for posting the line drawing and for your help in the past. However, if you now feel like iŽm wasting your time I will understand if youŽll stop commenting on my work and turn your attention elsewhere.

IŽll see if i can come up with a higher resolution linedrawing and adress the issues you have pointed out.

Thanks

Doooooomed! Follow the lines of others and thou art lost, doomed to repeat the mistakes of many! Trust only thine own eyes and a thousand thousand photographs. Verily thou shalt succeed, but follow thine own heart and many MANY photos!

Re: Thud !!!

John I don't think that tone is necesary. If you don't like aircraftprofiles workprocess or level of accuracy feel free not to comment on it. If he is happy with it then that is good enough. No need for a accuracy-police.

Re: Thud !!!

AP,
The Japanese drawing is quite good, and Airliners.net has lots of good Thud pics. Our Air Guard here in Virginia flew Thuds for a long, long time.

Keep at it--you'll do great.
