Spitty Number 5

Very very early stages of wip but thought I'd chuck up this outline of AB910 a Vb to get the general view from the usual suspects for any glaring errors before moving on with it.

There's a walk around here from a visit yesterday to compare it to (just under 300 meg), some photos are better than others but I'll leave the files up for a couple of weeks unless someone wants to dump the better ones in the gallery section.

I'm back ta da ! Here's a Mk V I did last year for a magazine article. Its a hard ship to get right, and has contours which are subtle. INkworm, watch your progress with interest,

MC

Re: Spitty Number 5

Every drawing seems to show the trailing edge of the wing being inline with the fuselage but it seems to dip down further than the fuselage from the photos I've taken/seen even when looking up from below the centre line.

Re: Spitty Number 5

Yup it does, I gave mine a fraction down.
Your shape looks good to me Chris

Cant really see it from these, but it's spot on to the photographs I have.

Re: Spitty Number 5

Thing with Spits, is even same production batches, same Mk, when these things went to war, they kept them flying any which way they could. I've seen um with different wings different markings different bolt-ons.
Not one follows the rules, so check each photo of each plane. Hell, one pilot even had a set of exhaust stacks he transferred from his old mount to his new and went to the extremes of going to his planes crash site to retrieve them when he bailed, so that he could use um on his next ride. I laugh at those who say "seen one Spit you've seen um all".

Here you go, quick update, added a bit of colour, still got the UC to add as I think they'll be down and on reflection possibly some more attention to the blades. Shame the BBMF keep their ships nice and clean would be fun to add all the weathering and dirty this one right up
