Rat,
please take a look at the photos in the Gallery for correct lines, especially the vertical tail details.

Thanks Vacajun, never thought to look in SPS Gallery. The pics I found were awful compared to yours. Couldn't find any decent drawings either, had to make my own as best I could. Looks like another lead balloon. Back to the screen - again!

Rat,

You're welcome, buddy!

The annual Langley AFB Air Show is coming up Aril 26, and I hope to add to our Gallery collection.

Rat, I know it's not the same model, this is a Pilatus PC-9M, though it's very similar. Wish it may help you through your Texan II profile. See the glossy effects on the underwing surfaces.

Re: Raytheon T6A Texan ll

Thanks Ugo, I now realise that I have chosen something probably a bit advanced for a beginner such myself. Your Pilatus is simply superb. However, I see what you mean about the underwing gloss. However, this Texan is a prelude to war machines and I guess they wanted a meaner look about it than the extremely sporty Pilatus from which I think it was derived. Can't have the troops thinking they are all on holiday?

Rat,

Here are a few close-in detail shots for you. Take a look at the rear-end shot for the rudder lower edge and the turtle back lines.

Enjoy!

Re: Raytheon T6A Texan ll

What a joy to get this close. I've got the right camera, but the air shows that matter are many thousands of miles away. Just have to make do with what I can get. I'll let you know what I am going to do and you will probably have some good shots, intelligently taken where it matters. Thanks for your help. Grateful.
