Havoc as in A-20G, not as in mayhem. A new A-20G-25-DO which has just left the Douglas factory at Santa Monica. Anyone else tried this perspective? Not happy with the engine shadings, particularly the air intakes on top of cowl etc. White markers at wing break were duct tape to prevent water from fouling the electrical canon plugs. The black anti-scuff paint only appeared on the port wing. Darn, no matter how many times I adjust this, it is never right . . .
not sure why, but when I uploaded .jpg file on to site it changed color to green instead of OD, and made image blurry. bear that in mind when you offer your generous critiques . . .

Ah, plan views--Has anyone come up with a way to include plan views together with our typical side view on a single landscape-type layout?? Sure would make presentations of long, modern aircraft (SR-71, XB-70, B-1, etc.) more descriptive of the airplane. Anyone have a sample?
Mc, interesting art. Maybe stronger highlights on the left side and shadows on the right side (consistent with your sun angle per the vertical tail shadow) would improve the effect? Right now the nacelle doesn't show the light angle.
IMHO this kind of plan view perspective is the one the old masters like John Weal really did well.
I agree with Vacajun about the shadows on nacelles. Also, the strong highlighting on the rear portion of the nacelles doesn't blend well with the rest of the nacelles.
The glass effect on the turret is very different than that on the cockpit. Either way would look nice, but I think they should match a bit better.
Are you going to make side and frontal views as well?
now that I have lined up the two profiles you can see the turrets don't align (**^%$ !!) that will teach me for using drawings from two different sources. i cannot think of better way to present the two aspects. aircraft is 'OLD S', HQ Squadron, 312th BG, 5th AF at Gusap, New Guinea, April 1944. I used all suggestions to date, thanks. Any wizard out there think of a better way align the profiles ?

now i really like the idea of doing plan views, yours looks like it could be great, but!, there is always a but, check this drawing by Paul Matt, it is as good as Mr Bentleys, look at the engines, cowlings and nacelle, who's drawings are you working from?
