Re: Nimble courier

Rivets. What a joy to do. Totaly mundane and boring. Did I ever tell you guys how much I hate them? Mostly it's guesswork because they're almost impossible to see on the photos. Oh, thanks Grubmeister for helping me out on the Argus logo.

Re: Nimble courier

When I go back to LFPP I will try to get a hold on the owner of the Nord and take better pictures if you want me to? Rivet by rivet.

The problem is that it's not in our hangar so I have to be there at the same time he is.

Re: Nimble courier

What rivets I can't see any?

Do you just use a path for the rivets or position all the circles individually by hand/mouse?

Re: Nimble courier

Inky, if I had to place the rivets on the fuselage one by one I would be a raving lunatic by now. Oh wait.....apparently I already am. I make one rivet and make a brush out of it and then stroke the paths. Only the canopy rivets are placed by hand because they vary in size and shape and I don't think Illy has the capacity to do that. In the scale reproduced here they are pretty faint for the most part. Gammy, photos like that will be most helpful if I was to do a Nord for you.

As a side note Ugo, Kakukk, John and Supah...I'm very pleased you added me as a Facebook contact. However, I don't have a clue how to use the program, so please forgive me if it takes a while to respond to messages.
