My two new projects

Hi All!

Been busy drawing the line art for the following two beasties.

The first is an upgraded Hind by Bell using the FLIR/Laser designator, chin mounted 20mm cannon and fairings off of the AH-1Z along with western avionics and electronics.

The second is a Ka-50Sh, funny thing is there is a lack of good reference pics for this sub type as I don't think it got out of the prototype stage, simply it is a upgraded night/all weather Ka-50.

As you can see the Ka-50 is still very much a work in progress. Once I'm done with her it's off to the paintshop for the both of them. Suggestions will be concidered

D

The Ka-50 is ugly, that is the problem with the Russian choppers, they never know how to make things look pleasing on the eye.

Look like an interesting pair and keep us updated on how things are going.

Yeah, I agree when it comes to Russian Utility types, but couldn't disagree more when it comes to attack types they are good looking in a frighteningly purposeful looking way.

Hopefully it wont be long til we see them take 'shape.'

The chopper bar is set very very high around here.

Love the Hind, I've got to do me one of these at some point, it looks a real predator. Not much for the dead dolphin at the bottom though, are you going to colour these in?

Indeed, these two are for a request which will see these birds in RAF camo. More will undoubtedly follow. I also want to redraw the cockpit/front fuselage to bring it in line with ATE's Super Hind Mk.III or IV and perhaps the mocked up V too

Hey, Inky, you reckon the Ka-50 is ugly? She's svelte compared to the Apache!

Nice looking linework, Damien. I look forward to seeing these come together. I'm actually Westernising a 1:35 Hind model myself at the moment.
Keep us poted.

Grubby.
