Messerschmitt Bf 109 B-1, 6-10

This image, shot my father on 7 April 1937 at the airfield in Vitoria near Bilbao in Spain.
A day earlier scored the squadron commander of 2 / 88 of the Legion Condor
Günther 'Franzl' Lützow with it his first victory.
This was also the first air victory was achieved with a Bf 109.

For this reason, his machine got sideways under the car a special honor. A large "1" ... framed by a green laurel wreath and the date of this success.

In the black "character recognition" of the nationalists was a caricature of a beer-drinking drivers, "Pass uff." with the words (Watch out) painted.

In the background, Herbert Ihlefeld's Bf 109 B-1, 6-6.

Looks good ! Nice textures

I´m no Messerschmitt expert, but the problades look alittle too thick.

Hello friend,

The propeller was made of wood and non-adjustable.

Greetings
Heli

Nice to see a profile and photo that actually has a personal connection.

Hi Heli!

nice photo and nicer profile. Good work. I just think you have missed the shadow produced by the horizontal tail.

Cheers, Simon

Thanks Simon,

I see my illustrations illuminated relatively neutral ... without strong sunlight and without strong shadows.

Illuminate As a professional photographer such object would.

Ciao

Hallo,

I understand what you mean Espenlaub, I think it's down to personal prefferences. Shadows do however help people understand the shape of the aircraft so in that aspect their are usefull. I have no problem understanding German, if other peple do let me know and I will translate Espenlaubs post for you.

nevertheless each side view does not have to be provided nearly forceful with any shade. Kontur-und Detailltreue, Farbstimmigkeit that are for me more important aspects. And those are correct with the diagrams of heli coil. No, I can write not in English language
