Junkers Ju 88 A and D

Hi folks!

Happy New Year!

Here my newest project. Started to rework my Ju 88 C-6 in first step to a Ju 88 D and later to A-model.

It's still a WIP and many details have to be added.

Cheers, Simon

Re: Junkers Ju 88 A and D

Thank you folks!

Here a small update.

Added some small details and reworked the main undercarriage.

Cheers, Simon

(PS: John - early models with short wings are not planned at the moment)

Nice start Simon. I presume this is going to be the (early) A-4 variant? Perhaps some armour plates in the B-stand and armoured pilot's chair? This is certainly getting my Ju88 juices flowing again. Might have to jump on my A-5's progress.

Re: Junkers Ju 88 A and D

Hi folks!

Next step - the right side of the plane.

@ Maciek, the curtains are there, but not visible at this small size.
@ Clint, no late A-4, but at the moment a late D-1. About the armoured B-Stand: Do you have any pics showing this? I can't find good references.

Cheers, Simon

Re: Junkers Ju 88 A and D

I'm a big fan of these, although to be perfectly honest I think the undersides of your wings are a little lacking in surface detail in comparison to the fuselage, also The pre-shading of the wing lines is a little heavy for my taste again it doesn't match the rest of the work.

If there is one aspect of profiling that nearly everyone (me included) at simmers needs to improve it is the under wing detail.
