Italian P47 remake

Hi All
I've tried to applicate some metal effect on my old drawing which was made by coreldraw and at that time I put shadow effect though.
This drawing is in progress but I would like to know if I am in the good direction for doing the metal effect seem like the natural one...
All comments and suggestions will be appriciated

VERY GOOD Santino!!! pls add abit of blue in the upper part and a bit of brown in the lower side, and add some more light reflections all over, will make it more bare metal looking

Re: Italian P47 remake

Much better indeed Santino! In addition to what Ugo has suggested, I'd suggest you add a bit of light reflection beneath the fuselage. Just erase a bit of shading on the lower part and it will do the trick.

Nice to see you back on profiles! Aside from the 163, I hadn't seen much from you in a while!

Re: Italian P47 remake

NMF, Ive done a one or two of these lately.

To get a realistic effect (yours is well on the way) use a darker base colour and gradually build up the reflective areas with lighter shades. You seem to have started the other way around.

Also think about representing the subtle variations of colour that are usually evident in different panels when viewing NMF aircraft.

Its what I do and it seems to be going ok for me.

Re: Italian P47 remake

thank you for all comments.
I did some modification following your suggestion eventhough again a long run to go but I hope that my drawing is looking better.

Cheers,
Santino
