Re: Hellloooo Corsair

I am confused..the antena is on boths sides on the nose section? on both images it is shown as starting on that side..be careful with just flipping the image horizontal to get opposite side

Yep, and only one-sided pushrod for the rudder trim tab!

Re: Hellloooo Corsair

Guys!

yes, one sided antenna and one-sided rudder pushrod. Something had to give. In fact, I had the wrong aerial to begin with. Vacajun asked whether the red/blue surround to the border to the insignia ever existed. No it didnt! (when you're in the forest ya cant see the trees). I think it is finally getting there.

Supah - Sir, you asked about scale. I stick to 7000 pixels across at 300 dpi. I drive a 64 bit 6G RAM system so have nooo trouble driving high performance. This scale gives me adequate resolution for any purposes.

Re: Hellloooo Corsair

MC,

Coming along really good.
Pickey points:
Need elevator line on end of horizontal tail, another circular panel shape on vertical tail, thicker retract link, and canopy lines. I've also posted a few more in the Gallery--search for Vought.

These pics of an FG-1 might be of interest.

Nice work!!

You still might. I think (I'm not a Corsair expert and so not 100% positive) that most wartime F4U/FG-1/F3A Corsairs had two antenna masts...

F4U-1

F4U-1A

FG-1D

Looks like the forward mast was deleted only after the F4U-4 version??
