doing this to help illustrate a friend's book (long term project). thought I'd post progress thus far so I can correct mistakes youse (Australian plural for 'you) may find,
Overall it looks very good, I would how ever extend the shadows up a bit and let the highlights come down a bit more to make the fuselage look a bit rounder

There is something about the shadow on the upper side of the inner wing which looks wrong, the angle of the crank would mean that the fuselage would either cast a pretty complete shadow on it or it would be exposed.
guys,
I'll check out the antenna side soon. made some improvements (and added the elevator push rods!). john's calipers will confirm the alignment of the main wheels,
What's going on with that wheel? It looks like you hit it with the bevel/emboss byr the real wheel is pretty sharp and flat. Unless you're doing the other style wheel...but it doesn't look like that.
You can't cut corners on a plane like this or someone will notice
Your shape is looking better and you did the weld lines nice
woops. the wheel is fixed. here is one color scheme I have tried. the old trusty palm tree is added (the only competitive advantage over BH). I need to fiddle with the highlights more, soooo watch this space,
