OH NO Am I too late? I was going to mention this earlier but it was still in it's early phase and then I forgot
Take a look at your wing root area. You've got the leading edge shaded like a gull wing. Same with the color application.
Even though the wings widen considerably, they are straight as straight can be!
You should try putting the highlight closer to the centerline of the leading edge, and shade the wing more fully from top to bottom. I think that will solve the problem.

Also the bulge over the carb intakes needs to be shaded as a fuller rounder object.
Maybe the upper fuselage should be a little more full, er, rounded from the canopy to the tail unit?

Your forward cowling is RIGHT ON, excellent work. Notice how the cowling ring is fully separated with shading rather than just drawing out a line? That's what I like to see!!!

I'm really liking the overall look on this one, good progression and thoughtful process of painting
