I have now finished the Magister and thought the Patrouille de France would be appropriate for a "first":
Note that the instructor's periscope on PAF Magisters was removed. Also, I do not know what serial this aircraft bore. 456 VL was used by the PAF, but may not be Amberg's a/c.
I will also be making a gear-down version. Anyone who wants a specific aircraft depicted should PM me.
I'll probably be doing MT-35, Belgium's last operational Magister soon. Just to make Supah happy. Than I'll move on to Luftwaffe birds, which had interesting colour schemes.
Very NICE Gamary
I'm usually one to call for more subtlety with the panel lines and detail but in this case, I really would like to see the detail more. You did such a wonderful job of the basic bare metal plane and these painted ones don't show the detail nearly as much. They are probably realistic as far as level of detail but would you consider bumping it up just a little? MORE EYE CANDY!
Again, BEAUTIFUL work!
I thought I'd experiment with "Prints", i.e. presenting the drawings like Jesters and Vacajun do. I think it looks nice, but the details are indeed washed out some. Guess I should do the "print" and a 100% sample.
Aside from that, I'm glad you guys like them. More to come. (Should I say of course?)
I contacted the Association of former Patrouille de France pilots to ask them what Amberg's a/c's serial was and they pointed out that it was too nose down in their opinion and that the top line of the canopy should be straight.
Unfortunately for me, they're right... But it shouldn't be too difficult to correct. I'll rework my template and start posting again once it's done.
Well, I've updated my template (top line of the canopy is not as bulged and a/c set to be horizontal/inflight, not resting/on ground), so you can tell me what you think:
This one is dedicated to Supah, who wanted a Belgian "Whistling Turtle". It took some extra work as Belgian Magisters have no glazing in the rear part of the canopy and different antennaes and stenciling.
Good work Gamary, What doe's surprise me is how quickly some of you guys are at doing profiles of different aircraft. I think I must be missing a shortcut some where or maybe you've all got to much free time
