Re: Focke F8

I think this project is taking shape in a very very nice way. I have enjoyed following your progress so far.

I do have a single thing for your consideration: The highlight behind the cockpit that goes up the vertical stabilizer, looks too consistent IMHO. The differences in the slops of these two surfaces is nearly 90 degrees (give or take), so there should be some difference in the intensity of the highlight (i think).

Re: Focke F8

Great job mate !!!! I think that improved the model a great deal !

If i may suggest something again: Try to add a subtle "highlight" to the bottom of the aircraft. Not a highlight like you have on the upper side of the aircraft but just a lighter shadow. That would give the impression of a undercast (or ground) reflecting on the lover side of the aircraft...When done right, it can look very nice..might be worth trying ?

Also, donīt for get the shadow cast by the propblade on the fuselage. I have always had a hard time figuring that one out, so i tried make a simple model in my 3d app. that shows how such a shadow might look like (the sun is coming from a 10 o clock high position)....hope you can use it

I failed. Everything was OK until the examinator noticed I was talking to George again. But, I mean, George is my friend and he's always with me. I can't just ignore him, right?

Looking better by the day, Kakukk! Maybe erase the shadow that can be seen on the trailing edge of the rudder? I also think the highlight between the canopy and fin needs further work.

Re: Focke F8

Hi Kakukk! Nice WIP!

One note: The rear part of the horizontal tail shadow is wrong!

The flab of a Fw 190 ends parallel to the vertical tail and not diagonal as on the Bf 109. So the rear line of the shadow must be parallel as on the front!

Have a look here: Luftwaffe Aviation Art made by Simon Schatz: Focke Wulf Fw 190 F-8, flown by Luftflotte 4, 1945
