Ooopsy! Yer out by a fair bit Bal. Note also the position of the hood fasteners at the top. A very common mistake! This changed beginning with the A8 and F8. This was a tough series for me to get right and I nearly tore out all my hair doing it!

Hallo!
It is based on Kageros linedrawing. And this f8 is 1year old,but i start again.
I upload it ,because i know i have got some good mate on simmers who can help in everything
But what can i do know ?? --- Remake the engine cowling,i havent got too much pictures about it
I find this,so i can use A8 pictures and drawing for it?
....The Fw 190 F-8 differed from the A-8 model with a slightly modified injector on the compressor which allowed for increased performance at lower altitudes for several minutes...
For the most part you can use A-8 drawings for F-8's. The differences were very minor. The big difference on the F's was the factory load out for weapons packs. Balz, I have a LOT of pictures on the FW now after doing my series. You are welcome to them...just email me. One thing to bear in mind (and this caused me a lot of grief!) is that the front cowl changed with only very minor differences from the A-1 to the A-9. This includes the F and G series since they were all based on A airframes. If you cannot take the cowl from and an A-1 and mate it to the fuselage of an A-5 or A-9, SOMETHING IS WRONG! The only difference was the addition of a 6" filler plate to adapt to the new motor mounts just forward of the wing.
Bal, you know how I feel about book drawings. To date I have yet to find one that is correct. These guys are getting paid for them too! There is nothing wrong with using them as a starting point, but you will need many MANY pictures to make sure things are right!
Otterlimits at shaw dot ca. You can get ahold of me there. You can pretty much thow away all the Kagaro drawings you have as they look pretty but are wildly inaccurate. Two of the most badly maligned fighters I know of are the Bf-109 and the Fw-190. Out of all the books I've seen, not one of them comes anywhere close to the real thing. Trust me, I have most of the more vaunted ones. The key in doing these accuratetly is in training yourself to observe what you are looking at. A lot of people look, but they don't really see. Take all line line drawings with a very large grain of salt. Then start collecting as many pictures as you can find. These very quickly reveal the truth if you observe carefully. You do an outstanding job in your work, but this is one aircraft I'm very intimately aquainted with so I will very quickly pick up on mistakes. If you look back through the threads you will find one by B.Huber (I think) regarding the Fw-190 A8 and by the end of the thread he's done a pretty good job. Keep at it Balz....grit your teeth and be determinined. It was an enormous struggle for me, so I don't expect it to be all that much easier for you.
