GEEEEEZ! That is a perfect full out thing of BEAUTY!!!!!!!

One thing, and it's a small thing but it's something that catches my eye. I've been meaning to bring it up but I just never got around to it.
My lines are exaggerated mind you, but the contours between the panels on the nose don't look like something I've seen on a P-51.

Do those panels actually roll in and scallop like that? If they do, or even if that's how you want to show them, fine, that's how it should be.
But I just felt asking since the rest of the plane looks more like a P-51 than any other images of the plane I've ever seen!!!

AMAZING!

Thanks for the critical feedback, I was a little heavy handed trying to get what are pretty flat panels to shine, I've knocked the colour back a little and its flattened out nicely.

I've made a few other adjustments, added the inevitable 'Malcolm hood' so I'm just about ready to call it done, unless somebody can point out something that I've missed or thinks needs more work.

Now I can start churning out B/C/D Mustangs to my hearts content, or until I get the itch to finish the A model that I have in the deepest, darkest part of my hard drive.

great work ! Simply stunning ! I´m very impressed with the metal effect on this one...i´ll try to copy your style on my upcomming profile (the F-105), but without any hopes of reaching your level.

I can´t come up with anything but: One of the best profiles i have ever seen ! (....and try to make the shade cast by the wing on the droptank a gradient that is faded out at the center of the tank)

I cannot address the accuracy of this rendering having little knowledge of the Mustang...or all allied aircraft for that matter. However, as a professional (once upon a time) illustrator I can address the overall look and feel of it. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the finest rendering of a NMF that I've ever seen...a regular Mona Lisa. I am humbled by your mere presence Sir!!! (No, I'm not sucking up. He doesn't do Luftwaffe stuff.)

Whadya mean. My Dora and I take great exception to that statement. In the interests of accuracy, what you should have said is He doesn't finish Luftwaffe (or a lot of other)stuff.

Here's a reminder.

Thanks for the kind words chaps, it makes the work put into it worthwhile.

And BLOWHARD, your Zekes are still the benchmark around here as far as Im concerned.

Thanks Giant, but I have to bow to the bright shiny and superior profile
(maybe my next profile...)

BTW, that Dora is still looking pretty hot too
