FAB A-1

Otherwise known in the Força Aeréa Braziliera as an A-1. I’ve put this under WIP since I have no idea when I am going to be able to add the finishing touches due my current domestic predicament. I know it also inhabits other airforces, so I will have plenty of scope for fancy decor in due course. So make what you will of this image.

Hi,
I can only say my admiration for those of you than are able to make such type of profiles. Go on, cogratulations.
Only one thing, the missile seems oversized, doesn't it?
Thank you for share your work,
Juan

Re: FAB A-1

Illusion. It's actually much closer to the viewer, so it looks bigger. Thought about this a lot actually. Compared it with one or two photos and it doesn't look too far out to me. Good job it's still WIP, means I can look into it further.

Re: FAB A-1

It's true that if you are working with perspective, the bigger Sidewinder would make sense. Most profile art is without perspective, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily so.

Re: FAB A-1

Looks like I invented a supersized weapon LOL. Looking at Ugo's profile, my wing is too wide at the tip and reducing that will make me reduce the weapon accordingly. Grazie!

Re: FAB A-1

In the end you can't call what you did wrong, from a photographic perspective the distortion you modelled in your drawing does happen. It looks like a wide angle lens shot from side on. There is nothing wrong with it persay, its just not the way we are used to draw profiles My LOL wasnt meant to be mean or belittle you and I hope it didn't come across like that!
