but, and this is just my thoughts, it is slightly too greyed out, technically it is perfect for scale effect, but to me we need to reduce the scale effect for profiles.
also a major point here, we are talking about an american aircraft built by Brewster and pianted with Dupont colours, nailing these bastards to the correct hue and shade is like trying to knit fog.
give me the weekend and i will see what i can dig up.
re the underside, it could be Duponts light blue

rather than get confused with yank paint and british i wouls stick with what we know, use RAF paint, enclosed is the base colours used on my hudson, the underside colour on your buffalo should be sky type s which is the same as the hudson.
also the top view of the drawing you asked for.
jester,
post your base colours used on the spit please, i would like to see how they compare

I am much obliged to your help gentlemen. Yes, the scheme probably was the Dupont version. Here is a revision. I'm not saying its right but its closer to the truth,
where do i begin, first here is duponts colour for sky, followed by a photo of your aircraft, move your letters away from the roundle and look at the demarcation between top and bottom camouflage colours, i am 99% sure the sky should be level with the underside of the wing, not as you are showing, with the top camouflage going under the wing joint.
apart from that its looking good
after looking at the image, i have decided you would be quicker throwing away your camouflage and marking layers and starting again, everything is wrong

Reason: because i am a bastard
Looking at the profile and then the image that John has supplied, one which I'd assume you have. I'd suggest that the camo needs t be reversed. Also check the font that you have used for the codes or serial numbers, they don't look to be a very close match.
You might want to consider using a white gradient overlay set with a soft light, to help match a little more closely the images provided.
the band and spinner are RAF Sky type S, your band needs to be wider, the fin flash is proportionally all wrong need to be taller and slightley narrower, as GFR as said, you need a different font for the aircraft serial and code, also the gray for the code is to dark(only slightly).
sorry but this is one of the reason i joined this forum because there are thousands of good profile out there that are very wrong, colours, markings and outline shape.
you have lots of potential so just slow down and check what you are doing, it took me just 30mins to find the info i needed using Google, just typed in Brewster Buffalo AN180 and came up with all i needed.
for the guys that like this stuff, AN180 was supplied to the RAF who issued it to 21 SQN RAAF then it was passed on to 453 SQN where it was coded GA-B.
colour scheme was DK Earth/ DK Green/ Sky type S (Dupont colour) with the port underside repainted in black by the RAF
please do not take this personnally, just want you to get a good profile near perfect.

You are doing a great job here, stick at it and you will get there.
Don’t mind John, he is a stickler for accuracy and he will see you through to the conclusion of this one.
You have all the answers there on the photograph, so its just a question of looking real hard, checking back and forth detail for detail.
The Buffalo is full of character and you have captured it really well, so it’s just a question of nailing all those points people have mentioned, then you’ll have a winner.
There is no point me posting my base colours because I don’t work like most profile artist, I build colour up by applying layer on top of layer, sometimes well past 50. I think Johns colours are fine as your building block.
I welcome the observations and criticism! I had a lousy photo as a first cross-reference, hence the poor fonts and width of white bands etc. Will get to revising this. Give me about a week. The last thing we need are markings inaccuracies further perpetrated by wrong profiles. This one will be going to commercial print so I wants it right. More later gents,
