John,

You Sir, are the man. For the record I love your calipers and the way you keep innaccurate pesky artists in check on this forum,

Re: Brewster 339E Buffalo

Mclaring, do not EVER trust anyone else's work if you have not thoroughly researched it yourself. There is no quick and easy solution to the agonizing hours of research. If you want it done right, ya gotta do it yerself! I think Sir John will second me on that.

Re: Brewster 339E Buffalo

hi Mclaring,

yup, top bottom front left and right, accuracy! now there a good point, as my very good friend otter just pointed out, never, ever trust ANYONES work without checking photos, unless ya ain't bothered like most profile artists have done until i upset the apple cart

somewhere in this dusty empy shell i call a head, is a distant memory of a discussion about this aircraft, but i think it was with regard the Finish version

i might just add, i include myself and the TOP guys on here, we are human and as such we make mistakes, just ask jester about my Lewis gun

so its post, take the flack, and rectify the problem. the more eyes that look the better

Re: Brewster 339E Buffalo

Guys,

I've started work on this. Must confess I know b**-all about Buffaloes. I'll cross reference with actual photography later. This is a 339 I think the Finnish ones were 229s. Many thanks to John - I used your outline bro,

Sooooooo, wot think lads?

Re: Brewster 339E Buffalo

Woo Hoo!!! Looks good so far, but I'm not the one to pick out inaccuracies. Looking forward to seeing how this develops. My only suggestion is that the cloud reflection on the glass needs to distort enough to conform to the shape of the canopy. Looking good!!!

Re: Brewster 339E Buffalo

Hey Mclaring,
They look dark to me plus I'm not sure what color you want for your underside. This is standard RAF you're going for right? Take a look at some of Jester's Hurricanes-
A day off
I'm sure there are others here who have nailed down these colors but I can't remember who.
