Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

Really nice metallic look there. Do you mind sharing? I am having great difficulty in making a realistic metal shiny/grainy texture look.

Hey, that's only one Jug!
Nice start. I'll second the motion for a tutorial on how you do your metal effects. (Don't need all your secrets, but I'd be interested in the basics.)

Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

I've mentioned how I get the metal effects in the link below. How I get the pitted and mottled effect will have to wait for another time... Heres a hint its all in the brushes.

Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

What markings are you planning to put on her? Seems like the 8th AF has been over done maybe 12th, or 15th AF? just a suggestion.

Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

hi GFR,

first and most important defect is the top line of the fuselage from the windscreen to the engine cowling, needs flattening the drawing enclosed is as near as right as can be. i know it's a razorback but the front fuselage top is the same.

Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

John, you of course were right about the top of the fuse, I have made an appropriate adjustment. cheers.

As usual I haven't really considered any markings at this stage, and I'm open to interesting suggestions.

4 posts in one day is some kind of record for me.

Anyway heres the latest WIP.

Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

I hope you're planning on adding the prop that would be pointing toward the viewer. That hole just bugs me for some reason.

I vote for some from the Phillipines or elsewhere in the PTO. If this were a razorback, there were several that served with ETO bomber groups as hacks or utility planes.

Several colorful ones on this decal sheet:
Eagle Strike 48-253
