Aircraft plans to purchase (many)

Hi all

A list of plans available to purchase (£4.75 each) from a company called HPC publishing. I purchased the Heinkel He59 Float plane for a future project (also Heinkel He115) from these guys and they seem ok, all be it photocopies but they did include 3x A3 sheets showing all main views of the aircraft placed in a nice card folder.

Link

"Aircraft Plans
Mainly of 1/72nd scale (scale is marked if different), the plans were orignally published in either Air Pictorial or Aviation News. Please note all plans are a photocopy of the original and are in black and white.

The plans show outline details from different angles, as well as cross-sections and are ideal for model-making. They do not include cutaways and occasionally include markings (although where this is included it is in black and white only).

Many of them were orginally produced in large format newspaper and to reproduce them we print them off, usually in 3 overlapping sections, to ensure all detail is included. The later magazines were published in A4 format, which allows us to print them onto the same size sheet as the original.

The plans are listed under the aircraft's country of manufacture. Where the aircraft are produced under a multi-national consortium they are listed in the International section."

Thanks

Clint

Bit steep for a photocopy, does that include postage?

Afraid not Supah (£1.27 First Class)

Yes a bit steep but if you can't find a good rare drawing maybe worth it.

Re: Aircraft plans to purchase (many)

well hard to imagine they woul have "original" plans of a EF2000 though it's not an hand made blueprint project such as a WW2 Hellcat, but a composition of hundred of schemas made via software....

Re: Aircraft plans to purchase (many)

Otter, I think they own the original copyright as they are the publishers of the original magazines the drawings were originally published in. There could be a bit of a dispute between the draughtsman and the publishers for him not getting a cut for this extra selling of his plans but I presume he may have given up all rights to the plans in the contract (if there was one?) when originally published?

Ugo, I can't comment on the ES2000 perhaps you could email them but I will scan in one of my plans later and post up for you guys to check out.

I presume that over time many different draughtsman have created these plans for the magazines in question so I suppose what with there being no preview, it's a bit of a lucky dip in regards to quality. A photocopy is a photocopy. It's what's on it that matters. You might get lucky. I mean I'm only interested in the Luftwaffe plans and I did not have any good He59 or He115 drawings and plan on profiling these later for a project I'm working on but are there any rare plans on the list?

Regards

Clint

Gentlemen yes! I did buy them sight unseen. To be perfectly honest I really don't give a K' Hoot- a' nanny whether anyone spends their hard earned cash on these plans. Trust me. I bought them because I did not have access to He59 or He115 plans. Whats a Fiver?

Last time I post a link to possibly helpful info.

Warm regards.

Clint
