Re: Railway simulator

Hi guys, Adlabs, It was your Panel Finder that I linked to on UKTS forum, some were having problems finding small parts on the textures, I use it all the time. Repainting doesnt seem to be very big in Railworks, unlike flight sims, even some professional developers dont seem to hot when it comes to textures.

I just think what some of the really good IL2 skinners could produce in Railworks,

Re: Railway simulator

I rather like trains and you've done a top job on the repaints too
Like BH, I dont think I'd ever splash out on the game, but I do plan to profile a Britannia class 4-6-2 before I'm dead

Re: Railway simulator

If anybody wants to take a look at what RailWorks2 looks like the National Railway Museum has a Christmas gift download where you can drive the Flying Scotsman in a short snowy lakeside route, Its a 520mb download because you need a lot of the full game to run it.

Jester, just think what you could do with all that steel rust and grime on a Britannia repaint, there is a very good model in game. Besides Railworks is half price on Steam just now. Its the most expensive sim I have ever had dealings with, its costing me a fortune, especially now the X mas sale is on for DLC, freeware stuff has almost dried up. Some developers are a bit reluctant to allow repaints, thats a shame.
New Duchess coming soon, been on the footplate of this one, stabled just up the road from me.

Britannia

Re: Railway simulator

I don't think I mentioned it back in February, but I wrote a review on Railworks 2 at SimHQ:

Me too...Its on the list. Not necessarily a Britannia, but some type of stream liner would suffice.

Unfortunately I think it'll have to wait for my next go around.
