SBD-5 "White1" VMSB-231

SBD-5 White 1 of VMSB-231 flown by Maj Elmer Glidden, and M/Sgt James Boyle, Marshall Islands, 1944.
The "Ace of Spades" sqaudron was one of the oldest in the Marine Corps, and Major Glidden was the services leading dive-bomber pilot. Having flown SBD-2's at Midway and -3's at Guadalcanal, he logged more than 77 more combat dives in the Marshalls for a wartime total of 104. Glidden flew this Dauntless in the Marshalls, with his missins represented by rows of stencilled white bombs.

Blank and no marking too.

Credits in readme.

Get it M4T.com or FL(when its back up).

Thanx,
Wolfe.
